Meet Marcus Cormier, owner of Marcus Design Inc.
As a certified professional engineering technologist (PTech), Marcus specializes in custom residential architecture. When designing a home, Marcus prospers on combining his technical knowledge with his keen attention to details all while maintaining an artistic vision.

Having worked as a draftsperson and architectural technician for over a decade in various firms in New Brunswick and Quebec, Marcus finally founded Marcus Design Inc in September of 2006. He has since created hundreds of custom luxury house plans for clients from all walks of life.
“No two projects are alike,” he says. “Each client has a different wish list and a different vision. My goal is to capture that vision and convey it into something tangible.” Marcus states that often, starting a new project is like working with a blank canvas. While some would view such a task as daunting, Marcus thrives on the challenge. However, he does not view this task as a solitary exercise but rather as a combined effort of both the client and himself.
Once the client’s vision has been set on paper, Marcus then focuses on delivering highly detailed yet workable construction plans. “I undertake the construction plans using a common sense approach – to eliminate the builder’s guesswork.”
Marcus prides himself in working with local builders who share his values and work ethic. Whenever possible, he encourages the builder’s involvement and input in the early stages of design. “No project can be completed without a team effort. Drawing the house plan properly is important, but bearing in mind the building process is crucial.”
